A native of Fayette County, Georgia, Rick Palmer received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and his law degree from Georgia State University College of Law. He began practicing in 1993 with Coggin & Palmer, a firm he founded with his grandfather before transitioning to the corporate world. Rick spent more than 12 years in the corporate arena which included stints with Coca-Cola and Equant, a large multi-national telecommunications company.
Rick returned to private practice in 2007. Since that time, he has helped hundreds of clients eliminate their debt and all the troubles and problems that go with it.
Rick currently resides in Newnan, Georgia with his wife Tricia, 14 year old son Wyatt, 17 year old daughter Sarah Katherine, two dogs, and one cat. Active in the local community, Rick is a member of the Cornerstone Methodist Church, serves as Vice-President of the Coweta County Soccer Association and is a member of the board of directors of the Southern Soccer Academy (SSA), one the largest soccer clubs in Georgia.
Rick is also the attorney adviser for the East Coweta High School Mock Trial Team and is active in the East Coweta High School booster clubs for soccer and lacrosse. When not practicing law, he enjoys deer and turkey hunting, college football, and watching his children compete in sporting events.
